Our lab, since its inception, has been studying the structure and function of hyperthermophilic proteins. This includes investigating the structure-based catalytic mechanism of enzymes related to phosphoryl-transfer reactions. Recently, we have also been using molecular biology and structural approaches to study Human proteins and nucleic acids associated with inflammation and stress sensitivity.
We study proteins from the bottom of the ocean floor to the great heights of space–thinking big!
